"The School for Wizards" is the third chapter in "A Wizard of Earthsea." In it, Ged travels to Roke Island on a boat named Shadow, and enters the School for Wizards on Roke Island. There he makes a friendship with Vetch, hatred with Jasper, and finds a pet Otak which he names Hoeg. He then goes to school where he studies with his teachers the magic crafts. .....
