The Master Summoner is one of the nine masters of Roke. The Summoner deals in the magic of summoning and sending souls. Thorion was one occupant of the title during and following Ged's time as Archmage and was able to use his power of summoning to bring himself back from the dry lands. The summoner after Thorion was Brand, who had possibly been sent to the school by Vetch.
